- Don't let dentures dry out – leave your denture in a denture cleaning solution or plain water when not wearing them. Never use hot water, it can cause your denture to change shape.
- Brush your dentures – brushing dentures daily will remove food and dental plaque. It can also help your dentures stay fresh and avoid any stains.
- Take care of your mouth – brush your gums, tongue, and palate every morning with a soft-bristled brush before you insert dentures. It will stimulation blood circulation in your tissues and help remove any plaque.
- Consult your dentist – see your dentist if dentures break, chip, crack or become loose. Whatever you do, don't try to adjust them yourself. You can cause damage beyond repair if not careful.
Be sure to take care of your dentures. If you feel any sore spots that need to be adjusted on your denture call your dentist. It is also important to visit your dental hygienist to clean your dentures and implant sites as well. Do not hesitate to contact your dentist with any questions or concerns.
